Short Introduction:
Context: Feelings in Artificial Intelligence and Robots.
Research Occurrence: Alone – Independently
How Long I’m Working on This Research? : I’ve been working on that research for more than six months.
My Research: I Believe Just Like Humans, Feelings Can Also Be Built into Robots.
Hypothesis:
When a person is a child, he does not understand which event he must laugh or cry (event refer to mental events such as someone’s death, happiness over something, etc. — not physical touch or pain). However, with the passage of time (by observing other people who exhibit feelings of sadness in death-like events), the child comes to understand when he must be sad.
Experiment 1:
- First and foremost, we must select two groups of primary school students.
- Both groups have a fixed number of students.
- We have to kill a bird at the front of the first group. Following that, we have to act and exhibit happy emotions.
- In front of Group 2, we must demonstrate that a bird was accidentally killed by our hands. After that, we had to express our sorrow over the incident and bury the bird with grief.
- We have to perform this kind of action a few times in front of both groups.
- After that, we have to switch the students and perform the alternate act in front of them that they have never seen before.
- At that point, we must pay attention to the emotions or facial expressions of both groups.
- I believe they will express their feelings based on what they have learned from previous incidents.
Experiment 2:
Compare the reactions of butchers and other people when an animal is slaughtered in front of them.
Deduction:
Based on these experiments, we can deduce that all people (whether butchers or students) will express their feelings based on what they have learned about these incidents in past.
Connecting This Concept to AI:
Just as we humans are able to instruct machines to make tea or work in hospitals and other technical establishments, we can also programme machines to react in certain ways, such as when they witness a man slapping a child or when someone is torturing others.
